Gone for Three Days
Dear Rose,
It had been a truly busy weekend. I am supposed to rest now after long journey home but I still have some thinking stuff to do before I go to bed. Dear Rose, oh dear Rose, I always hope that I am doing the right thing for you.
10th October 2015, Saturday
MPO tubist, Brett, came to teach me alone during WIT. It was my first time getting a MPO tutor after several weeks in WIT program. I was so grateful to learn and play duet with him. He inspired me by playing the same etude with different interpretation and colors. He talked to me about the music composers and history which would definitely enhance my ability towards musical ideas and expressions, in stead of technically well done. It was a wonderful moment in DFP.
Right after WIT, I took KTM to Tanjong Malim for UPSI Alumni Big Band Practice II.
11th October 2015, Sunday
I woke up really early at around 5 a.m. because I needed to catch the ETS train at 6 a.m. to KL Sentral. I was having my breakfast alone while waiting for my parents to pick me up. A 25 years old boy from Singapore who is doing Swing dance performance currently, he came and sat with me. I was shocked obviously. He started to introduce himself and asked questions about me too. I must admit it was kind of awkward at first. He said we probably can hang out together in future, doing some trombone jamming, having drink, or do dancing, as he said "if you can walk, you surely can dance." His name is Eugene.
KLPac Symphonic Band practice started at 10 a.m. It was a really fun time always, because I love the music choices and Cheryl Mah's conducting. Sadly I had to leave early for today, I was rushing again to catch the ETS train back to Tanjong Malim.
UPSI Alumni Big Band Practice II started back again at 2 p.m. Surprisingly I managed to arrive on time. But I received a bad news about the latest performance date confirmation, UPSI Alumni Big Band will be performing on the 12th December 2015, which also the KLPac Symphonic Band concert day. I totally have no idea what decision to make then.
12th October 2015, Monday
After I had my breakfast with auntie in the morning, I headed to my favorite UPSI library while waiting for Haziq. Settled lunch at Recco before we returned to faculty music. I found my favorite practice spot since all the rooms were full - backstage of Panggung.
Thank you all the people who took care of me, so caring and supportive. Especially auntie who allowed me to come over and stay at her house everytime I have practice. She even cooked for me by the time I reached her house and drove me to the train station. I would describe her as a perfect strong woman whom already fulfilled all the ideal characteristics, extremely hardworking, loving, independent, smart and adorable. She encouraged me to do things I can't.
Thank you friends, Haziq, Rheiny, Kenny, Alwin, Sheng, Fauzan, Abang Khairul, lecturer En Zamrus and Big Band. I am always trying my best not to disappoint anyone, thank you for sharing the moment and helped me when I was in need.
Thank you mum and dad of course. I wouldn't make it so far without your patience and love. I owed you for a lifetime. Goodnight.
