Germany: Munich, Fussen, Freiburg

Dear Rose,

🛫 Munich, Germany

Our LDR started when he needed to further his studies in Germany and Munich is where he spent most of his time as a student. And he used to write postcards to me telling the places that he wished I could see. And this trip to Germany was like a walk down memory lane.

We took the deutsche bahn ("delay" bahn) to Freiburg to meet our friend who is now working at a musical instrument store. We had lunch together, went for a walk at the nearby Christmas market before testing trombones at the store.

I can tell they miss each other very much.

This was my first time meeting this special friend of ours but already felt like we known each other for some time. He has been the supportive friend during the tough time in our LDR.

Did not manage to eat at his favourite Italian restaurant but this one was good too!

He said he had always been imagining we can come here together one day and here we are at Tollwood.

We celebrated Christmas at this airbnb hosted by Patricia and Jens. The shops were closed at this time of the year, therefore, the plan was to prep our own meals at the airbnb.

Christmas Eve meal - delicious pasta cooked by my love,

served with complimentary ham, mulled wine from hosts.

Fresh roses from the market

This Christmas Eve was special because he asked me to be his wife!

I never imagined how I want my proposal to be because becoming the centre of attention makes me feel uncomfortable. I did not want it to be in front of many people.

He did it the perfect way and I still love everything about it.

It was private and intimate, he got me fresh roses and proposed with the rings we chose together during the summer.
