2nd Day of my 20th

Today Dr Burrell played the birthday song on the piano and the crowd sang it for me! How grateful! Dr Burrell wished me happy birthday!

World Wish Day 429

Today is my birthday and it's World Wish Day, which means I can make two wishes. Just now Monica, Yi Pin, Kelly, Cheryl and Eric celebrated my birthday for me. They brought me to a birthday cake surprised at Monica's house. They told me to make three wishes before I blew off the candles and say the third wish out. My three wishes: 1. Make it into the MPYO audition 2. Give more All I wish is to give more in stead of receiving. That's how I learn and development the potential in me. At the same time, giving means there's receiving on the other side, which means some contributions. Being people's need is a kind of happiness. Give more possibilities, give more love! If I have the ability to give, then I am wealth. Give more makes me richer than simply receive more. 3. Safe and good health for all family and friends Happy Birthday to me, and thanks to mum. It's a perfect born day!

Sunday Task - Tour guide!

Sunday, 26th April 2015 A day tour guide at the DFP, KLCC I brought my AUO friends from Indonesia to MPO concert at DFP, KLCC. Lip Sheng came and met me at the box office, DFP. I felt kinda guilty as he supposed to go Aswara to watch his juniors' wind orchestra competition. He accompanied me hanging around at the CD shop and Kinobuniya bookstore until the MPO concert finished. I wondered if he felt boring or maybe tired. Thank you Lip Sheng, we should had watched movie in stead of walking around. Hope I'd make it into the MPYO audition, and then we play together in the orchestra. And good luck to his UPSI audition too! ( 'til now we don't even have a picture together LOL)

UKM ASEAN Universities Orchestra AUO

20th April 2015 - 25th April 2015 I'd been busy with AUO at UKM, Bangi. Faculty did not approve our permission letter to the concert practice at UKM, Bangi. I was disappointed at first. As I knew there was the other list of people who had been selected by the faculty to attend this AUO event. But at the end, none of them attended the concert except the non-selected-people. It was quite a difficult week for me and friends, as we traveled all the way from UPSI, Tanjung Malim to UKM, Bangi almost every day and night. I missed classes on Friday as it was the final rehearsal for Saturday's event, I lost some marks for my presentation but nevermind, I'm sure what I gained from there is much more valuable than just marks. I met a lot of friends and inspiring people. Datuk Johari Salleh and Ncle Adzan . They both are very talented and strong icons in Malaysia music industry. I am so grateful to have a few discussions with them about the career and path that I am heading. Ncl

Bump into Improvisation Session!

7th April 2015, Tuesday @ UPSI I was looking around for a good place to practice. Abg Khairul and En Zamrus were practicing improvisation in Choir Room, and they asked me to play along. OMG! It was fun although I'm not good at improvising. Question-and-answer session with Abg Khairul was definitely my favorite part! Thanks to my father and brother in UPSI Big Band, it was a lovely evening. " Don't play only classical!" - En Zamrus & Abg Khairul En Mustaqim came to give trombone lessons yesterday and today, we combined with juniors. Now everyday is full of joy and inspirations! "Classical is everything, it has all the techniques you need for pop and jazz music!" - En Mustaqim. I love classical, and I like jazz, don't worry people I learn both ERRR ...

Semester Week + 1 Week Part IV

3rd April 2015, Friday It was New Orleans concert at DFP - best live jazz concert I've ever seen! Byron, Bob and Bobby are awesome! Lights turned dim, spotlights on tonight great soloists! DFP literally transformed into New Orleans nightclub! Byron, another Louis Armstrong, sang so beautifully with his trumpet and soul! His voice, so warm and classy! " I love Malaysia, it makes me feel so good, it makes me wanna slap my knee!" his theme. Bobby played piano and Hammond B3 organ, how fascinating to watch Hammond B3 organ live in Malaysia! Bob is the most talented drummer I've ever met! I felt so blessed to meet them, thank you for the priceless and timeless lessons and sweet memories! I must visit New Orleans someday! I saw Ciaran and fiancee, and Marques played a few short solos, marvelous! Finally I grabbed the chance to watch his jazz trombone, so inspiring. Zachary Bond was playing the bass trombone. It was a totally different jazz experience, a totally memorable

Semester Break + 1 Week Part III

1st April 2015, Wednesday Okay I admit it was an extraordinary day - April Fool. First of all, we are having an extra holidays week to prolong our semester break. I am still the very rare diploma student hanging around in UPSI. It's good thing that I can concentrate on my preparation for MPYO audition, in stead of doing nothing. But still it has a long way to go before I am ready for myself. The toughest thing is doing everything precisely and effortlessly. And MPO New Orleans jazz concert. A friend, Lip Sheng, told me that there are limited student tickets left when I was just planning to have my breakfast - so I stuffed everything into my mouth and rushed to KLCC just to grab my ticket. Lip Sheng had actually bought one for me already, gosh! I was lost in KLCC, okay no sense of direction at all, " Asked help for Lip Sheng. Marques Young was coming to this way too, he gave me a high five and he continued to talk on the phone. Lip Sheng brought me to Kinokuniya. I knew
