Being Part Of The MPYO @ International Olympics Council Opening Ceremony 2015, 30th August
My dream was to play with the MPYO and now my dream came true after two years dreaming of it every day and night. My first time performing as a MPYO member and it was the IOC Opening Ceremony at the Plenary Hall, KLCC. The pieces we performed were mainly composed by local composers included Dato' Mokhzani Ismail, Dato' Johari Salleh and Vivian Chua, entitled Together in the Spirit of the Games, We Are One, Tanah Pusaka, Jambatan Doh Tamparuli, Negaraku and Olympic Hymn by Donovan Seidle. What I learnt from it was, the bond between western orchestra and local music composition especially Malay Pop is still relating. Even though MPYO plays mainly western classical music, but as a musician, I should be able to play all genre of music with good interpretation.
